Could I just apply insulation board to where the cladding use to be, allowing me to make that surface level with the red brick work on each side? Guessing the insulation board would be dot and dab straight on top the lightweight block but would it be best to use machanical fixings as well...

Better late then never. I would love to remove the cladding on the front and back but I can't see an easy way of bring the wall back out level. Any info would be great. Thanks again.
