Ok mate thanks for the advice :-) Never used the paper tape before always used the thistle pro tape .

would u pva the joints the next day before applying multifinish?

what would u use to attach paper tape to joints prior to skimming?

would you cut a fine line around the top of the ceiling aswell?

When u say skim remaining panels with a straight edge how would I go about this? sorry for all the questions. Just trying to get some insight into whats the best way to hit it

U mean scrim the joints yeah? would u bead round the outer at the top of the ceiling? james would you stop bead the bottom of each panel where the boards meet the framework?

hi what is the best way to plaster a large conservatory ceiling? I have many shallow angles . Would It be best to place stop beads on the joints? I have noticed that the joints are never even or level when I hold up a spirit level. obviously I would scrim all the joints on the ceiling.

kgreigh when you chalk line. Do u run a chalk line where the two boards meet? I suppose you would offer a spirit level up to get the line dead straight? tend to find that the joint between the two boards isn't straight.

yeah I can plaster to a good standard just not that quick compared to a lot of spreads I know. if I chose an area to fade out on first set wouldn't I need to fill the join first set would of gone when starting second area to skim?

ok lads thanks. never done a rolling set before i am a bit apprehensive of doing a large area for the first time. if i was going to bond the joints out would you scrim tape them first?

ok lads. Just thinking that doing the whole ceiling in one could be a bit of a struggle on my own because of the size.
