I'm getting good feedback from customers about K Rend at the mo, they seem to be kicking some good stuff out, a lot of the complaints you read are people mentioning issues that occurred years ago.

Webers strong colours at the minute seem very quick to bloom and go misty. I ve a few jobs with the same problem recently. Every manufacturer has struggled with this a some point.

Belt and braces would be to mechanically fix the mesh to the wall with fixings as well so you aren't depending on a sliver of paint to hold 30kg of render per m2 up.

    Krend colour dried / wet

K Rends silicone texture has the sparkle as well. It doesn't seem to age like the cheaper acrylics either the job a did a couple of years back (Before it was released to market.) still looks like new and hasn't dulled.

Curing time is 2 weeks, possibly 3 weeks in this weather. The wall is gradually get lighter up until that point. Saying that the sample are produced in incubators and scratched when the incubator is the perfect humidity which is the equivalent of a next day scrape so the samples will be a...

Think most decent pumps have them as an optional extra. Well worth it by all accounts, makes everything pump as well as it can do.

Some pumps have optional after mixers which basically give hard to mix materials a double mix. I have a customer who uses one for everything, he swears by it.

Mix it, let it rest for a few minutes and mix it again if you are hand applying. Using an after mixer helps when pumping. The silicone by default resists the mix initially until you can get the polymers going.

I know fella, I was just responding to what you said about avoiding the K1.

I probably wouldn't go K1 for private, no need. I'd suggest silicone to the customer whilst explaining that the silicone by default makes for a harder job and will cost a few quid extra a metre. The extra mixing needed to free the gear up doesn't seem so bad then.

The big housebuilders are the worst and it's funny to get to large sites where a third of the plots have render on by one manufacturer that's cracked so they move over to another and they crack so they dump that and the last lot crack with yet another manufacturers render on... They then screw...

It's a weird trade ours and applicators tend to be a fickle bunch. One of the larger applicators in my area has switched over to K1 and is very happy with it. In my line of work I can to a lot of the problems guys are having with all the brands and for me there's no real stand out and...
