You've got to love double glazing companies.

Sash window = has lintel.
Casement window = no lintel, window frame is structural.
PVCu double glazing = needs a lintel.

So what do they do? Rip out whatever's in there and fit the PVCu leaving knuckle marks in the carpet as they walk off.

Mind you, customers are as much to blame with their "lowest price gets the work" attitude. Can't afford to have it done properly, then you can't afford to have it done. (y)

yup I was in my garage and the builders came over and said you gotta see this... lol :D

Its being completely ripped out and done properly :D

They also have a safe room to deal with (the building use to be a bank) the door is 3 inches thick and I have no idea how they are going to move it

I will get some more photos on wednesday when I waddle back up there :D

Mmmm...3 inch thick door, bank vault, usually a good size, a chap could disguise that door during renovations, making a concealed room.....it could even be soundproofed....then, with a splosh of rohipnol a chap might have hours of uninterrupted fun with...........

"Oh f**k........did I just think that out loud?"........ lol
