Thistle Bond 60

Members online

I Always try to keep TPF a breast of the ever evolving evolution in plaster world, just had email off my Ccf contacts.. £12 a bag inc vat for thistle bond 60 ,

Sure this will go down well with you
:inocente:
Vince,,,this product is is not needed as you can set bonding as quick as you like if you know how.
Quick setting finish is needed more.

Liked. But there are ways of speeding finish up too, just a bit hit and miss with timings and debatable questions regarding finished strength.

I hear yah mate , a few things though as I like to stay impartial on the evolving wheels..
1. I not always got a bag of cement in my van plus cement goes out of date plus the cement tends to take up a corner of back of my van and spills dirt on back of my van floor.
2. As I said earlier in thread (and is true) found this gear goes on thicker in one go, no need to build up the thickness in a couple of coats..
3. Most important tbh this gear is setting from the moment it's mixed , I mean you can see and feel it happening straight away.. can you imagine the amount of moaning plasterers plonks on here saying "oh this multi 60 was s**t, as soon as I mixed it it was setting" they would all want it to be workable for say 30-40 minutes then pull in and set on the last 20 minutes to be able to get their super dooper finish,

But I know what you mean

One of the guys at BG said they can tune plaster to any setting time.but why don't they talk to us guys and see what we think is needed.
I wont totally bomb the stuff as i like to test it myself but now the grey bonding has dissapeared from Scotland that pink gear is easy to manipulate in setting.
Honestly finishing plaster was more in need of speeding up first in my opinion.:ROFLMAO:

Stop making stupid claims, this was the problem uni didn't take off coz of silly made up claims and silly reasons.
1 everything goes out of date, you've been using out of date uni for god knows, it won't take up a corner of your van stop being silly it will take up the same space as any other bagged plaster, buy the stuff in a plastic bag and open it properly and it won't spill.
2 the gear will go on thicker if you mix it stiffer it's that simple the only thing they have changed is the setting times.
3 All plasters start setting from the minute you stop mixing, how have you seen it setting I'm interested really and these moaning plasterer plonks on here your talking about have heard enough bullshit out of your mouth about uni and daft claims, don't start with this product or its dead in the water.

1 bag bonding £8 ish + a splash of dirty water = bonding 60 , 30 ,10 or 5 depending on how keen you are !

:wtf: Calm down Flynny try a bag and then come back all big balls , was only lightening the mood

I don't need to try a bag it's bonding I've used 100's let's not dress it up hey?
Well don't if you think you know what it's like without using fine , not just me who says it's good and different to use think even kitschy agreed it was but anyway I stand by what I said , also I get my gear from Ccf they don't sell cement and it just sits in back of my van.
Don't bring uni into it again and change the subject
Evolution is here

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it and other places sell cement and it also sits in my van for when I need it. I'm not changing the subject by bringing uni into it I was just pointing out don't f**k this one up with silly claims and comparisons.

Best price ever seen so far :birra:

Bloody wickes of all places :rebotando:
