Not afraid to say and bet I'm not the only one but I'm still peed off.....

Outside rendering today, ive jumped in halfway on this job as the previous company done a runner so a firm im doing work for has taken it over the job was ment to be ready to go.....

First off...

Can someone tell me what sort of t**t scratch coats a fresh block extension without putting beads on?

Worst still the scratch coat was absolutely diabolical. Honestly it was dog rough I got a feeling the builder running the job scratched it there Is no way the previous plasterer (who for some unknown reason isn't being used anymore) done it not even a £200 plastering course lad could of left it like this.

But anyway me being me set all the beads up and top coated it, I got there at 7.45 aiming to have the lot topped off by 9.30pm/10pm latest but no ot was all topped at 11.45........

Apparently was ment to be dry all day, guess what pissed down for half hour then was light misty rain all day.

Gave up at 6pm flattened It over and gave it a tight scratch ready to go through it all again tomorrow morning.

Its annoyed me a lot, I'm right in with this firm and they have some big jobs coming up, ive done few biggish jobs for them all on price start to finish and its been a pleasure how the hell I got talked into this current job I don't know......

As my old boss used to say you only ever go on top your own work.

Sorry for the rant I just need to let off some steam!

Love you all

Not good pal but chin up and get yourself a drink of some sort

On a ranty note as well, qs on the site we are in came around today and said he was cutting 250 off the prices on the house, as they made a mistake pricing them. Didn't account for bonding apparently, although, still want us to bond all the ceilings and stud walls. Had been tempted to try and take work direct off them after a while, seen how site goes, but that's put me right off. Neptune group and ocp Ireland are the firm. any yous men do work for em?

Got paid the same. It wasn't my problem. I told them we won't bond if that's what u want. They just said carry on.

sounds like the tail is wagging the dog! that qs thinks he has found a monkeys play thing.

I think it's funny this has happened after a known undercutter has got his foot in the door and has a squad there, next thing prices apparently drop. No doubt he's a load of subbies willing to kill themselves for a wage. Im only there on a wage in a squad just, so no skin off my nose really, other than the boss wants houses done quicker. Personally if it was me, I just wouldn't be bonding them then, they could go f**k. Boss had none of that when I suggested it. What do u do
