I'm back to square one trying to look for a firm to work with again. Been fortunate through here before, but those I worked with ended up shutting business or have moved to other cities

Not yet mate. But as it was said before it wasnt a good time to look. Been on job sites, Sent CVs and contacted loads of firms. Have had one member contact me and he was absolutely sound, hopefully something will come of it once I meet him and show my work. But still searching otherwise.

Yeah the extractor fan is working fine. Everywhere is dry a part from that section. Its damp and only the droplets appear when the shower is on on that section only. But gonna cut it out and double check all is good :)

Yeah I think I best cut that section out and double check there's no leakage before doing anything else. I'm living in it after all...

A plastic trowel ive played around with is the Refina plaziflex. Much more lightweight and glides across easier - I even tried it to apply plaster and the results were great, but not what it was intended for i dont think.

Cheers Zolco appreciate the reply. I've looked at getting a CSCS card but I apparently need to do a course first before taking a test and paying for a card. Money is tight this month, but it is an option I'm considering next. Hopefully as you've said, @MikeAtthis may know someone ;)
