    Hi, no this is a new plasterer but as the artex is so thick and I’m trying to do it on such a tight budget I’m prepping the walls for them. It’s truly everywhere and 10-15mm thick in places it’s a huge amount of work to prep every surface. So will save quite a bit. Are divots as bad as peaks...

    Thanks all, I really appreciate your help. I've started scraping back using a 4" scraper. Its coming off but a little too well in some places. I'm guessing divots are as bad at peaks to a plasterer or is this not so? Should I really take take to avoid this and any tips?

    Hi All, Really hope you can help, I've been getting different opinions everywhere. Looking to plaster over the artex, one plasterer came round and noticed under the white paint the textured stuff is actually brown/ orangey brown. Would this be gypsum rather than "Artex" am I safe to scrap it...
