Oh ok I get ya I mean I started as an apprentice in 2000 knocking up builders buckets with a podger for an old bloke named Arthur good spread but was 60 and ready to retire so obviously I was knocking up rolling gauges for him and didn’t even know it lol, when I got moved with the other gang the...
must of been some graft with them rolling gauges, never did rolling gauges there was always 3 of us when I was an apprentice and when I passed ,if I had a ceiling that big now it would be extra time or just think f**k that can’t be asked lol
Wouldn’t worry about it m8 about 2 years into my apprenticeship I came across another apprentice who was putting half used bottles of milk into the cavities on new build houses f**k**g nutter he was he even said I’m a c**t mate :ROFLMAO: he works in maintenance for a big tech company now
Pricing is a regional thing there’s no way your going to get £300 a day in Newcastle or Bradford but you will get it in quite comfortably another part of the country it’s down to economics
If they ain’t got a bog brush I’d just leave the skiddies in the bog not my problem,I love taking a dump in customers toilets it’s like a small f**k you at them have some of that you wankers
Don’t pva the block work just give a dampen down or mist of water
Don’t let the hardwall dry overnight no amount of pva will kill the suction long enough for you to skim it as a beginner
I think your gunna struggle get a professional in
There could of been old dry wallpaper paste grime dirt you may have missed these bits with the pva could be anything looks like your coats are too thin
What advice do you need cowboys have come out and done the job there’s about 10 stones on the patch they have done get them out to do it properly or get ya money back
Tight arse f**k**g customers I always give them a choice between float and set and dab and 8 times out of ten it always boil down to what’s the cheapest and they go with that
I dot and dabbed a lounge 3 months ago I’ve gotta go back there in a couple of weeks as one of there kids threw a toy at the wall and put a hole in the f**k*r,you can’t tell me plasterboard is better than float and set
If you can afford solid plaster go with that method it’s old school but better than plasterboard, plasterboard method is quicker in terms of application and drying out,but solid plaster is rock solid a lot easier for fixings less chance of cracking and the walls are rock f**k**g solid
