Ive an outside ive priced in Radcliffe, Manchester, its a sand and cement flat render with a k1 spray finish in white. Aprox 245 mtrs. I'm looking for anyone that can give me a lift with it and that is familiar with the spray application.

in an ideal world mayti then yes,i agree..but unfortunately money depicts the outcome.as ive said below i think my options are s+c float with lime added,then a lime based skim finish.just a case of getting the right ratio to allow the walls to breath properly.

can i ask why you would sbr the stone? i was just going to treat it like render to be honest,brush down the loose stuff,give the walls a good drink then apply?

the thermal conductivity has not been specified but as the walls are i suspect without cavity or very little,it may be worth mentioning it to the architect/builder to discuss with the client.

in theory and money permitting then yes,lime would seem the best option for the age and period of the property.
that being said,other options are surely worth taking into consideration to give the client the various choice according...

ive a job to price that involves the removal of lime mortar on all internal walls of a millworkers cottage aprox 200 years old,taking it back to the uneven cauble/bedrock stone...
perhaps one of you could take a few pics on your next job,showing the marking out lines on the walls and ceiling?that way it will be clear what your describing for those that are beginners..its quite fiddly cutting by freehand if your not that sure what your doing,and to be honest the plastic...

great looking machine,although youd have to justify the price with the output..its a fairly big outlay and youd really have to make it pay for itself.certainly makes the screed look spot on.
i'll look into it some more(and keep the price away from the missus!

lime paist...
mix a few handfulls of hydrated lime with a little water to make a paist at the end of your day..mix roughly half a cup per bag of finish(try on a small gauge first to get the feel of it)
makes the mix slightly more fatty and gives you longer setting time..
