Ceiling patch up question

Hi
I'm not sure what would be the best way to approach this problem after removing a stud wall.
Should I patch the ceiling up and skim or replace the dashed outlined area with a section of plasterboard?

If the joists are easya nd the levels good I'd patch it and skim the whole ceiling. If it's a ballache with the joists as they are then I'd bring it down and replace as you've shown... more money too

More importantly
What lazy c**t runs a cable like that in the ceiling.
Just overboard the lot and skim.
Probably take same amount of time farting about getting joists to put bits it.

If you are removing the exciting wall tiles do this before you do the ceiling, or in the future when you do remove them you will damage the plasterboard that has been butted up to the tiles.
