Read on here a while ago steeping tools in a bucket or Bin with washing powder brings them up like new,?does it work,or has anyone any suggestions

thats my method as well

Rub wire wool and then cover in wd 40 to clean and protect. Then onto a magnetic knife rack for storage. If you got rust then soak in white vinegar over night. Removes all rust and is nice a shiny. Any citric acid crystals from brewing shop or any vinegar will work

yup @Olican I think uses bicarb of soda

Defoe bicarb. . Sit blade flat in about inch of water . Go out every hour or so n scrape it a bit. Like new after 24 hours

Cheapo white vinegar. Soak for 12 hours and watch that s**t just scrape off. Verrry satisfying
