I am leasing a commercial property in Doncaster and building regs have told me I need ceilings to the shop and basement underdrawn with 2 layers of 15mm fireline board - 1 hour fire rated.
I think the existing ceiling is 12.5mm and there are joists and timber floorboards above.
The shop dimensions are 10m x 4m
The basement is split into 3 areas:
1. is 10m x 4m
2. is 2m x 4m
3. is 4m x 4m
I'm not convinced 8x4 boards would fit down the cellar so they would need to be cut down to get down the stairs, possibly 8x2 instead.
I would be grateful if anyone could come and quote for the work or give me a rough figure considering the info I have provided.
