so in reply to everyone telling me to put boards up
as stated previously - dont think this is not an option- its an art deco building and will ruin the look of the ceiling
as will also cover coving up

so i think i will just use a stabalising solution on the lime plaster, as recommended to use
( does anyone recommend a good product/ or will just go down leyland or something)
then patch up, make existing lime plaster smooth and just paint over

can i paint w/ emulsion paint -directly over, stabalising solution
dont want to plaster over as may add too much weight to ceiling, and may come down??

any thoughts
