I recently had to take some of the plaster off (to replace pipes into radiator)my conservatory wall that was attached to the external wall using dot and dab

Ive since decided to remove the whole lot from the wall and to replace the plaster board using battens instead,so i can use the void between the new boards and the wall to have hdmi cables etc and have the tv on the wall.

As with all technology one day these cables will beout of date and something else will take their place so doing this will allow me to pull new cables through the void if needed

My question is do i need to insulate the gap between the boards and wall where i havent got the cables with there being a bigger gap than with dot and dab.Having looked about on the web im getting conflicting answers. Going to be usig either 19mm or 25mm treated battens
