sponge float

hi guys

new here with a quick question

what are people's thoughts on sponge floats? has anyone used them?
i saw them in wickes the other day and have never tried - usually use plaz but unsure if sponge does the same alongisde reducing the time spent sponging separately after?

thoughts?

I personally dont use them have done in the past when things went wrong

I find as long as the s/c is nice and flat I can finish quicker with a sponge or sponge float.
Polyurethane or wood is good for when you can wait a little longer and in my opinion gives a better finish...

I think the OP was about using a sponge float on skim.... I may have read it wrong though :-\
