got to dash a pretty big gable we've scratched it on with the right amount of w/p but because the sand has got a red dye in it its making the top coat dry in a bit quicker than normal would an sbr solution help the problem a bit or is it a no no thanks

Yeh, you won't get suction in the constant rain!

But if you have too then yes, give it a primer coat of sbr 1:1 with water and let dry.

Then give another coat and render over while it's tacky.
