hi lads i need a little help here,im starting to tile my bathroom floor it runs out of level by about an inch ive put 9 mm boards down on half the room should i put 18mm on the other half or should i make it up with adhesive cheers mates

i would have fitted furing pieces to the floor, pieces of wood cut from the max depth down to the min. about 300mm apart, it would then be level and ready to be boarded over.

Couldn't you use hardbacker boards with board Addy underneath?

Don't shout anyone I've never tiled in my life!

I'm just winging it???

You can but it's a pain when not level plus anything on a would floor ideally uses a membrane these days

Ply over the floor then just a 2 part latex. Make sure you use the two part floor tile adhesive too.

Screw a screws in to the floor to set the level so u have a guid to pour the self leveling what area are u from ?
