Drying out Plaster with no heating in house?

hi guys my whole house is getting plastered all walls and ceilings... over the coming days however i have no heat in the house at all as its a refurb.

I have been told to use dehumidifiers then told not to...... someone mentioned calor gas fires.... and my local plant hire company i deal weith has advised to have infra red heaters in each room


Help???
 
I'd use a dehumidifier, trouble with any form of convected heat is it'll lead to cracking. Plaster needs to dry out or cure slowly
 
trouble is this time of year you need the heaters for the dehumidifiers to work, just stick an infra red heater centrally in the house and a dehumid in the first rooms you want to decorate, or even the kitchen (prior to units going in)

They would do though wouldn't they...........

Personally I would do as spunky suggests and open the windows, let it dry in it's own time :RpS_thumbup:
 
bought a cheap fan heater from screwfix last winter and used it just to take the edge off the room we were doing. worked as well its the red fan heater in there book about 40 quid off the top of my head
 
Ok guys thanks for that will start with natural drying then after few days the odd infra red heater the at the end the dehumidifier

bit of a pick amd mix
