Not sure if this is the right part of the forum to post too, though if you have a transit custom be sure to get your locks checked out, last night some c**t broke in and stole everything of mine including hand tools.

Here is link showing how easy it is. Just to make any aware how easy it is

Thanks

Fcuking lowest of the low any c**t who'd take another man's tools.

Took a pair of pliers and they were in, some stupid c**t at ford put in a shitty lock that actually disabled the alarm as well.

I got the security update done on mine. If they twist the barrel like they did with yours only the front will open. Still not ideal but they won’t get the tools.

That's fcuking terrible.
Get a vivaro even the crackheads and smack rats won't be seen dead in one.
I leave mine unlocked with the spare key on the dash and a trail of twenties leading to the cab.
and its Still there every morning

What part of the country are you? I've maybe a spare trowel and a few bits and pieces in the stores if your in need.

although that video highlights how easy it is it is also education people as well... :-(

That was the aim Danny, it’s the tools that will get you out of trouble that you don’t think about. Silly things like a head torch, voltage detector, tin snips. It is so easy, and I don’t know if it was chancers or professionals so I worried about the house

I’m in London fella, Iv already told the boss, time I take away the losses Iv had this year it may pay better to work in Tesco. That is very thoughtful of you. I’m serious an Aldi is opening up around the corner I’m very tempted

F*****g hell man, sorry to hear that. I live in a bit of a ghetto here in France but the thugs know who actually live in our neighborhood, they police the block better than the police ever could. But damn I'd rather they stole the truck and left the tools on the curb. If you need any of the basic stuff, I'd be happy to mail some of my doubles over.

Unfortunately there will always be scum out there that steal from honest hard-working folk you hear these stories every day:mad: thing is there so clued up and research how to do all this criminal activity ect. Ain't it a shame they can't put there skills into a bloody job!! Mechanic/ engineering plastering whatever!! They just want a easy buck taking others property!!! Makes you feel like going vigilante and dragging um down to old bill....worst thing is you would probably get in more trouble. So probably better just burrying them in garden!

people who buy tools on the street corner are just as bad as them who steal them, and also in this day and age the buy and sell sites on the internet give them an open market to get rid with no questions asked

I actually think they are worse because they give these shits an outlet to sell someone elses stuff

Do you have sign writing on your van?

yea my boss had it all written up with property maintenance, which is a double edged sword, it does not help when ford cant even be bothered to put in a decent lock system on. If i could take them to small claims court for my tools and won, i bet they would soon be changing it.its apparently been that way since 2015-16

your not wrong, police have a department dedicated to tool theft!! its happening that often, when i spoke to them they said "15 years ago, if they had multiple van hits they would get patrols to catch them in the act", now they are so busy and under funded all they are apparently doing is just going call to call.

thats absolutely lovely of you and really thoughtful fella, i'm not being rude, i do not think i will be needing them. i handed back the bosses van today and walked

That's a good point. @Danny - what you doing organising a competition for that mixer?

I'd say @Crouchie has a pretty good case for needing it.

that is biased competition,
you lot are bloody lovely, <3
i didn't post this for tools i just did not want anyone else to get hit by this and to pay for a couple of deadlocks or get some insurance, wrap it up before you slap it up
someone in the comp may need it more then me. someone who can actually plaster would help hahaha

I'd be happy to send some stuff too if needed as it's a c**ts trick robbing a man of his livelihood

its alright marshy you don't need you to send me any tools i already have your van noted, ill help myself lol

I've always been a bit slow on the uptake, but this forum, and trade, have been a real family to me. Family is family, PVA is thicker than water, I don't know much but I know that.

Feel for you mate. Not to piss on your already grim mood, but they'll probably be back so take your most valuable gear inside. I've had van done twice and garage three times. Once they know you've got gear, the F*in w*krs may wait until you've re-tooled and have another go.

Makes my blood boil. Chop a hand off, at least then they can only get half as much gear second time.
