Never hear of anyone using it. I'd like to start.
Has everyone just skipped a step and gone to airless?

Difficult to compare the two tbh, one is ready-mix the other just preblend, airless you can do it yourself thistle will need 2 person at least

There's two of us, and I've got the machine for thistle.
Don't like the airless idea at all.
I just never hear of anyone using thistle...wondered if anyone did....

Used it at BG Before, I like it, they gave us a few free bags aswell, I used them up on a job i was on, on some walls by hand lol it's nice stuff to use either way. Hangs around longer than board & multi.

@Lodan @Vincey done it before, it's a mare on ceilings in my opinion the mess it creates just too much. Other than that as @Nisus says it's lovely gear even hand applied it's nicer than than multifinish or board finish

Agree with the above two , lovely material and really wanted to make it work but have to admit I never can see it working, ceilings the floor got absolutely covered in plaster , to the point it would make you miserable, walls fair enough if you have enough in front of you to go at it’s worth it but if not might as well just hand ball , only seen one guy actually enjoying spraying a room he was over 6ft tall so maybe that helped , and only just my own opinion here started to have my doubts about the airless to now in all honesty but hope I’m proven wrong

Airless sounds good if you after a consistent fool proof quality other than that I reckon Algee and alikes still would make a run for your money.

I haven't got the time and my particular customers wont spend the extra for me to tape and joint all the walls first instead of just scrimming AND the extra time to sand the finish down afterwards when using airless.
Too DIY for me.

honestly the sanding is minimal and the taping takes minutes :D

Seems to me it's great on big areas, can see it being a struggle on everyday new estates with loads of cupboards and silly angles.
I'm struggling to find a video anywhere where someone would show how they do the reveals and small details.
Seeing Currys videos and pics they top them tapers out a few times, same with the beads.
I take it if the taping leaves lots of snots they will grin through too, so that has to be decent too. Seen a fair few recently who just spunks it over wallpaper, I mean i did it before and probably will do it again when the job require it but some makes a living out of it not getting the paper off.
Curry said the other day they done just under 700m² in 12 mandays I'm sure the quality there but the quantity isn't, it's far from knaufs estimated near 1600m² a week, that's more like commercial conditions.
