Getting a new pair of boots/trainers for work, going to get something with a toe cap, any recommendations?

No toe cap but I use Hi Tech Magnums.

Sometimes used as army boots cos they're light and you can run in them.

Depends on the boss.

I was just saying what I wear, have done for decades I just find them comfortable and not to big, I wore toe capped boots once and for the first and only time fell off my hop up because they were to big (size nine)

I've always gone for army boots. They're not steel but they look like steels, so no-one has ever pulled me up for it.

You try to look hard but we know the truth.................you wear em to stop being blown away.

They wouldn't be very good for not getting blown away. They are very light...like BFO trainers that support your ankle a bit but no breaking them in like a proper boot.

You can march and run in them and you can work in them too.

Paras prefer some sort of go faster boot. Danner or Danna, I think they're called but I did my commando course in them, so that's good enough for me.
