I'm paying customers to let me teach them alternative plastering techniquesHi fellow trades, I am currently working on setting up a plastering tutoring business delivering in people's houses or projects, any tips. I have 30 years experience in plastering and am a qualified tutor and assessor.
So you go round to customers houses but get them to do the job, and make the brews, and still get paid at the end..... and they can’t even make any complaints because it’s their work....Hi fellow trades, I am currently working on setting up a plastering tutoring business delivering in people's houses or projects, any tips. Just a picture of a estwing still gives me a semi.....there so shiny when newView attachment 43866Here.please use this to drive another nail into the coffin of the trade . After 30 years you should know better . This is just my opinion.
Think he means people plaster their own houses, not that students plaster someone else's. I suppose it could work as people want to have a go themselves but need some guidance, although people who want to have a go themselves do it to save money so maybe not...Personally unless you can compete with gold trowel and the likes you will struggle...
I have seen so many plasterers try and set up training schools and they dont work. The costs involved are big and I am not sure how mrs Jones would like students trashing her drive and carpets...
However.... I am a serial entrepreneur and so I love the thinking outside the box
I know how you can get a free one.Just a picture of a estwing still gives me a semi.....there so shiny when new

Here's my tip - this is the stupidest idea I have ever heard in my life. You want the customer to plaster their own house and pay you £180 a day to watch them do it one wall at a time?Hi fellow trades, I am currently working on setting up a plastering tutoring business delivering in people's houses or projects, any tips. I have 30 years experience in plastering and am a qualified tutor and assessor.
I assume that's what he means. There are people who want to learn how to plaster but don't want to pay £1000s for a course in a city hours away. So to save overheads of an industrial unit he comes to you, and together you f**k up your house lolSo you plaster your own house?? This is genius!!
I've got a mate who works for dyna rod, I'm gonna tell him this idea!!!
Don't buy too many different toolsMy top tips mate are always two coat properly, none of this one coat crap we read about and don’t do the sponge s**t either that just makes life hard and destroys the plaster
Also try and keep things basic and simple don’t buy to many different tools, never apply more than you can finish too
