I like the refina plastic fantastics . The finetex 2 showing some promise as well. Think refina have got a steel trowel with just the right flex to it . Like the older steel xtra lights.

1 trowel is more than enough, if it’s on it’s way out then keep a second on board to break in gently.

Take 4 in to job at min....but with good reason.
Lay on with finetex to bring it on . Flatten with 18 inch max as i cant use a speed skim and this is a joy to flatten with . Carbon then dry en with plastic fantastic lol.
Though once finetex is bit more worn i may f**k carbon n plastic of

What the fucks a fine tex & what does to bring it on mean when skimming????

i have 2 different types of Marshalltown flex trowels.
duraflex, which is a traditional built trowel. wooden handle, with a small amount of flex.
the other one is a flex trowel, the early one was metal stuck on metal. the mark 2 has the black tape covering the back of the trowel.
my Refina 14" was a good trowel , but it became unstuck.

I use my ss Marshalltown to lay on, the speed skim st to flatten then finish with the ss marshalltown,

1 man / 1 trowel = every old school spread over 45. Fact!
Ss trowel then speed skim then carbon trowel then medi flex then ultra flex then sponge for the bumders!! = every spotty faced chancer.
