The powder toupret is one of the easiest and finest fillers to sand. Better than easy fill IMO. Perhaps you’re in a hard water area...

Shoud be ok. If still worried cud wipe with damp cloth then apply. Try v fine sandpaper 240 ^ Also try brushng filler on wide area...

If you have to join any lengths, try cutting the joints at 45 degrees - less visible. Fair play knowing what a busk is.
