    I got a try of then mashalltown qlt slywalkers 1.0 from gumtree, took me ages to get the confidence to even try a pair think they are 6 year old? Theyre blue?     What model speedskim you got? 600 steel or plastic? Is 600 enough for bigger lids? Or if i was to get one speedskim to try would 1.2 be better?     Bare with me cos im thick trying to process So i lay on with my 13" ss mt. Then i would flatten with a speed skim am i right? Plastic or steel? Is the whole moisture thing a myth and you can 2nd coat straight over with plastic 1st flatten?? Or would be still have to wait 10 or so mins if so...

    By the way when i finish off i dont use much water, i just wet my trowel because i had a bit bother with striping when i was an apprentice and my boss said it was to do with adding water when wet troweling he taught me to just wet the trowel hence the name....and ive stuck to it since

    Yea how they getting a good finish off of one coat? Are they finishing with a plastic trowel? My mate says it doesnt bring moisture to the surface but it sounds like a load of tinfoil hat stuff to me. Ill be honest again though ita because ive never personally seen anyone sponge up and finish...
