Your over thinking it mate, If it were me id glue it up then skim it, the PVA will sort your suction and give you a bond, If you really want a mechanical key then blue grit it as said but kill a bit of suction first with your glue.
No need to score the wall IMO, when over-skimming normal walls...
Cheers Jim
The page i was on it looked like a grey basecoat, just seen a vid of it going on makes more sense now. The mineral must be bagged and the silicone bucket.
So how cheap is k rends normal basecoat ?
Does anyone use this gear and is it any good ?
Which of the two basecoats TC 4 or TC 2 would you use with the Tc 15 top coat ?
I've used Jub in the past, and using Johnstones at the minute, but my local merchants deal with K Rend so wondering if this is a worthy alternative !!
Cheers
I don't understand why they need to calculate his earnings, its none of their business what he earns, they've been given a quote and either like it or they don't. I agree its a complete waste of time trying to work it out especially trying to work out what the materials are then his m2 rate...
@Meirion Harries Whats your thoughts on his Quote ? do you think hes charging you to much ? Why do you feel the need to try and work out what hes charging per m2 ?
@Danny if i had a website that was top ranking in Google how far a field would this generate work mate ?
What im trying to say is i generally only work in the small town that i live, which is tiny and it pretty much keeps me going all year. I have a FB page where my photos of work are stored...
