I've been using the Nela Plasticflex and I find it so much better, easier to use, less effort and keeps it nice and flat as you go. Of course this is only my opinion.

Do u use it to put the second coat on or just use it to finish off?

Yeah do find don't need to use as much water when troweling up ect. Just makes life that little bit easier all round :fuckyou:

Totally agree, I know people who only use it to lay down the 2nd coat with it, people who put 2nd coat on with it and people who like yourself Danny use it for the final sweeps. Everyone works different and find different ways that works for them. It's all about trial and error really. Like Danny said he uses it for final sweeps and I use it to second coat, I find that works best for me but then maybe different for you carys.

Right take from me plastic is fantastic whichever make it is , here is perfect example from one of the best plasterers in how to flatten and finish with plastic, although he only puts on with steel :numberone:

Really wouldn't recommend using these for nowt but final trowel when plasterers proper firmed up . Can scratch plaster and don't get ye wall flat like a steel trowel. The blades are to flexi to get it as flat as steel . Looks the business until painted

I

Have in a press looked good on till u put a light on it. Or painted.

I did that trying mine out in a cottage. Looked fecking great until the currant bun came in a side window the next morning and shone straight along it.

Holy smokes I had to cover that up quick before the customer arrived at the job.

I always respect the elder more experienced members views on here but am gonna respectfully disagree, there has been a lot of comments on here saying plastic can't get a finish and all the when painted comments etc is a load of rubbish tbh
