HAPPY NEW YEAR

I am doing this early as I dont know what state I will be in tomorrow.

I would like to thank everybody that has been a part of The Plasterers Forum over the last 12 years and especially the moderators and sponsors we could not have done it without your support.

But also to everybody that clicks on to TPF and reads and the members who post and interact on here is what makes The Plasterers Forum such a great community.

We have had over 1,300,000 visits in 2017 and that is bigger than 2016, in fact its bigger than any other year. Against all odds TPF still is the biggest plastering community and resource online and with that in mind 2018 I am going to work my little office socks off to make it even better.

Competitions will become bigger and better and I am planning on getting about a bit more in 2018 as I have enjoyed the the Bond Over Beer events that @BritishGypsum have put on and also starting the new year with @knauf and @quinns for the spray day I think is going to put The Plasterers Forum in a good place.

Last year I started doing some work with Prisons and I am planning on continuing that into the future I also want to go and see a few more obscure projects and get my hands a lot dirtier so will be looking for people who will have me for a day or so so I can see what it is like to be a real plasterer in 2018.

Anyway thats enough of my ramblings

Thanks again for your continued support I do hope to see you all in 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Danny

@Danny all the best for 2018 mate!

Just to add to your post I personally believe the forum has become much more than that to a lot of us...

Over the years it's become somewhere that at the end of a hard day you can vent your spleen to others that understand..

Also nice when people are going through having a tough time with personal demons it's somewhere that you can chat through issues with cyber mates without fear or embarrassment!!!

Anyway that's enough G** talk from me phhhhhh like bloody netmums lol

Happdee New Year folks!!

Nice post @Danny , I can see you doing a tv show on plastering, like a George Clark/Guy Martin of the plastering world travelling about the country (y)

.... the littlest hobo playing in the background :ROFLMAO:

Hope everyone has a great 2018. Don't say to much on here as it's usually said before I get a chance so no point replicating..
My motto for 2018 is," You only get one shot". Go for it, wish I realised that long time ago but hey ho. All the best everyone xxx

For a competition idea,

We should vote for each other to win badges for various stuff end of each year like,

Best project
Roughest spread
Funniest
Sexual deviant

Etc off the top of my head, bet you could all think of better ones

There was a competition on a bike forum a few years back. You had to take a photo of a forum sticker you'd put onto something random. There were some really good ones, on a copper's helmet, top of some building in New York etc.

If @Danny got stickers out  it'd be good to see where people could get them through 2018. Bonus points to be had for getting them on TV news etc. Obviously there's potential for it to go horribly wrong, but that's half the fun.

I like it!!!! @Danny

You know we'd end up with a lot of censored bum holes though!

So normal forum business then.

Plus there will no doubt be a few arrests and injuries following the "I've just had a brilliant idea, hold my beer." phase of the competition. Possibly a court case following a forum gathering involving a sticker and a visit to a tattoo parlour (are they still called parlours?). Then there'll be the cave in at the mine on a BG tour when someone grabs a loading shovel to lift a sticker to the tunnel roof.

I think @Danny will need to publish some rules along with a detailed disclaimer. o_O :estudioso: :birras:  :llorando:

Happy new year everyone......

Re littlest hobo.......what about the show where a bloke is an angel......turning up hither and yon smiling benevolently ........pffft.

It has been a pleasure keeping this place ticking over whilst you were in prison ;) I look forward to taking the piss out of the s**t tittle tattle going unclaimed in your competitions, I also look forward to keeping the love amongst the members :) the forum has changed over the years and Is at a good point where it hardly needs moderating if anything. There are a good group of members from every walk of life who are not scared to speak their minds, fair enough some are cavemen but I like them xx I think the mood on the forum has been good for a few years with the odd disagreement but that's life, the amount of work, contacts, friendships that have been made is testament to this place. There are other platforms on the net but they are usually a dick waving competition or turn into that, this place is hands down the place to find your answer when it comes to plastering, if the answer isn't on here it doesn't exist :) so happy new year to all you ungrateful c**ts who's arses I've been wiping for so long xx
