ive never sponged before ....first time tried it today ....after seeing @theclemo pics from the other day.
always done alright without it.
skimmed top floor of 3 bed house and shower + ceilings.
onsite for 9 set up loaded bags for plot + moved half pallet of adhesive.
started mixing for 10.30
everything skimmed by 4.30.
couldnt believe the time difference.
not one mark of sponge shown through.

my floors are still a f**k**g mess :rayos:

I have started using scrim on the skirting line then pulling it off near the end of the set so it leaves a clean line line :D It looks great :D

Talking of scrim , gyproc blue and green and orange are on offer at selco builders merchants, @Donzo gave me heads up about the place ,tbf well worth a visit if there’s one near you

I might try that tomorrow thinking the loofah thing out the wetroom the one I wash my arse and plums with that has a long handle should be good on ceilings .
and for the walls maybe the toilet brush out the site shitehouse if it's not too stiff/stinky.

I have tested a tonne of these in the past and to be honest none have ever been up to scratch.... on board they work great but it is the re skims that I think they need to work for....

I use to use Blank-it cardboard covers which were great and now just make them myself on the laser using old cardboard boxes.... Works way better :D

what is odd is why they have rounded the corners and not squared them :D also :D I like the idea that the boxes go as deep as they need to be rather than have a bead which will be a pain in the ass with any depth discrepancies
