Absolutely gutted, was the first plastering tool I ever bought, don't even know what happened just picked it up to flatten my ceiling and a whole corner was snapped off......RIP trowel:(:(:(

Feel for you mate. My first trowel was broken in the back of the firm's van thanks to other lads just chucking trestles on my tool bag. Gutted. I'm sure you have a spare?

F*****g hate that mate, worst one was on site and I'd set me toolbag on the ground near where we were working and some scaffold monkeys came and stripped planks and landed one in top it, good skimming trowel bent like a banana, about 2inches of the blade would have touched the wall, and 11inch trowel shattered down the middle bar. Went round to give off f**k and of course pretended not to know any English. Was different men sent there the next day by the scaffold firm. Bastards

That’s a bad one, I am always breaking trowels but never crap or new ones, had a hole blown in one because a sparky t**t said a box was dead when it wasn’t my drill fell on another one. I usually cut them down with a disc cutter then tart them up, I have quite a few mini trowels

I feel your pain brother, remember when I broke my Nela premium.... I had a stroke a few days later :risas: At least now we can spend our entire Friday night talking about what trowel you should get as a replacement?

Wouldn't mind trying one of the ox ones too to see what they like

That's very kind of you bud if your serious
Pm me your address and I'll send you this, it's got a lovely sharp edge

One my workmates knocked my nela off the scaffold and one side it is bent, must have landed on the heel on left side, it's bent the right wat at least, its kind of shaped like a perma shape now on that side of the blade. Other side is ok. Shame though for it was a lovely shaped trowel.dont know if I. Cam be f**k*d now to break another nela in. Takes so long to get them nice and sharp.

Yes it takes a long time to break them in.A good solid workhorse of a trowel.

Definitely, I only used it for sand cement work, well basically. But it's a right pain to think about another one. Not sure that I can be arse with it again, although, I did like it as a trowel. Would have preferred it 13x5 instead of 13x 4.75 though, can be a b*ll***s floating heads past drip bars and vents.
