Don’t you just hate it when a repeat customer rings you up asking how to fix a problem so you help them out with a brief description then say you’ll call out tomorrow and get a text that morning, “yeah you were right Tom that was the problem iv sorted it now thanks”
c**ts, feel like telling them the invoice for my knowledge is in the post. Next time I’m refusing to comment

Tell customers f**k all until you've got the job, knowledge is power.
 
The builder I work for had someone ring up asking advise about installing air con. So he nicely gave him some advice. Then the guy asked how much he’d be looking at, Daren told him roughly (this still advice not quoting for the work). The guy didn’t like the sound of how much it might cost him so reported Daren to trading standards! Absolute nob

Great job today first time I ever met customer who done this much themselves ok slight things wrong but overall not bad ,
I put tape on only

Last year a builder was bragging to me that he sets up for the plasterer to go in and just skim he offered the same thing for me soooo I turned up to 50million off cuts of beads stuck round the revs and stop beads that where stuck on upside down! I looked at the little stuck up prick and said are you taking the piss? His face soon dropped

I had a long chat with this dude here asked him how come you’ve done so much your self , he only diyer but bought this place, said at his last house he had similar to that other thread that’s going on atm with that bird and lurpak flirting, tbh can’t blame this guy and others for having a go nowadays, even his plumber at old place he said put flue in wrong it’s not just plastering I don’t think anymore it’s all trade

Well it looks like he’s done better than most people iv seen giving it ago!

I always use the product name as a guide to who should be applying/using it. PLASTER board, PLASTER beads, PLASTER board adhesive, finish PLASTER, backing PLASTER, etc. it's subtle, but you can work out which trade should be doing it. :inocente: :)
