Ok enoughs enough. We need a proper response from mike @BritishGypsum

Multi Finish Plaster.

Scenario 1 (rare)

Put it on, lay it down. Trowel it up and think, fook me that’s nice just how it used to be. Nice set perfect finish. 0 stress.

Scenario 2 (increasingly familiar)

Put it on, lay it down. Go to trowel it up but it’s too wet. But wait, it’s also too dry. That’s impossible right Mike? Leave it 5 come back. It’s even wetter than when I left, WTF. This is all kinds of wrong. It’s turned into the undernath of a year 6 history class table. Mouldy old f**k**g chewing gum c**t. It’s tearing. It’s leaving marks ahhhhhhhfgg

So you leave it till the death as even if you look at it something goes wrong. You end up calling in a fire engine to house the wall down and trowel it to death to get a mediocre finish. You’re stressed as f**k and doubting everything, again.

It isn’t a bad batch. It isn’t the time of f**k**g year. It’s some jumped up primary school science teacher with a god complex f**k**g about with the ingredients.

Please fix it. When it’s right it’s great.

It's been tried numerous times.. They ain't interested :endesacuerdo:....
I remember the issue with the bags years ago..was an ongoing issue on here.and the response from bg was..a dedicated bag design team was looking into it:LOL::LOL:

I had a right dama with it yesterday . In end i just knocked f**k out of it with speedy lol. f**k**g bullet wont stick to it now.
One thing lad never seems to have problems and he puts it on thicker then me

Mate IMHO the only way that @BritishGypsum are going to listen is if, or should I say when, someone goes to the Monopoly Commission and claims that BG are abusing their 'effective monopoly' by selling goods unfit for purpose, when there isn't a readily available, comparable product from an alternative manufacturer.
I have a feeling that someone out there will be saving and collating all the moans and groans across the various social media platforms.

Mp finish is not bad once you get used to it.The boarding has to be bang on which rules it out of most jobs.Also it’s hard to get here,have to buy it by the pallet.

I could lend you my good friend who worked for a good few years in arbitration between European markets before she became a space lawyer for the European space programme... we could lawyer up! And she’s fluent in French so could sock it to them in Saint Gobain

.. I know, I’m baffled too as to why she hangs about with me :oops:
 
In all honesty I’ve not had the on going problems a lot of you have had. Had the odd bag here and there that felt greasy. Used board finish all the time which was fine. Just started using multi again and so far ok. If someone could just say why some bags are fine and others aren’t that would go a long way

Tbh I read these thread comments now and just think I give up trying to tell them all

Domestic guys such as yourself have the choice to use the better plaster it’s a slight increase in material cost but let’s be honest it’s nothing really for quality gear , just try it at least to put me out my misery

Back in the years when we had this massive problem with multi we had to call BG to send us representative. Mike turned up and we kind of agree something wasn’t right, after testing almost every scenario for whole day. BG however came back with nothing wrong with the product and that put me on my knees literally for years to come. So..... f**k BG and their products and methods statements, I’ll use it as I wish , as long the finish is acceptable, but money is tight now days and every one thinks he is paying for Venetian, not multi! That’s the problem!

We had the same with knauf finish years ago.
Every pallet was different...usual old bollockes ...Mike the rep never held a trowel in his life telling 8 good spreads from different gangs it wasn't the gear.
They got hammered a good few grand off mersey side plasterers through rough work on keepmoat homes sites.
Impossible to finish I was told.
