Dot and dab onto tiles with blue grit

A bathroom on a job im doing has mostly small green tiles on, can you use blue grit on the tiles and dot and dab straight onto it? Cheeers.
 
Being skimmed i wasnt sure because if you could skim into it on tiles then the dot and dab would stick aswell, some of the tiles are off so thought instead of hacking the rest of just board over the feckers

Are they the old tiles that are cemented on? Pre grit says it can go over tiles, bond and skim.

I’ve never done this myself though

50/50 ish.

Personally id just get the sds out and get them off, but that's me. If it's a customers job then surely you've allowed to remove them?
 
Unifinish would work straight onto them
But I’d smash them off with my Bosch and float and set tbh
Probably take 10 minutes to go back to brick

I've done it before. Was using plas prime. The green stuff. Dabbed straight onto it. Tested it on glass too. Multi straight onto the grit and it worked. Need to stick to manufacturer instructions for drying. Tho k most say 24 hours

Don't get me wrong. I would advise against it. Not because it doesn't work but eventually the room will get smaller and smaller. I'm always for knocking back to base and starting again

I wouldn't your asking for trouble
Take the tiles off .what happens if the tiles become loose from their backing .
Your boards become free floating
The easy way is never the best way
My motto is if your going to do a job do it right or not at all no offence

Just playing devils advocate but what happens if a plaster board becomes loose. I know it shouldn't and wouldn't happen but the same applies for tiles
