Petrol in Venezuela is swapped now for goods.
You can fill your motor for a pack of cookies a bunch of banana's or a few bottles of water......how mad is that.
It's all theve got left worth anything.

I’ve been to Cuba and that’s the same, there subsidised by Venezuela so there fuel comes from there. all driving big American 60s gas guzzlers, they fill up and just leave it sloshing out of the tank.

Jeremy Corbins champions Venezuela as an example of his socialism.

Venezuela is so poor the people starve. Prostitution there is pointless because nobody has anything to pay for s*x...............yet they subsidise another country with fuel who just waste it.

Yep there pretty tight Cuba and Venezuela and share military intel and training etc. It will be interesting how it pans out with Cuba and there thawing out of relations with the USA as Venezuela and the USA are not good.

The whole country is amazing, it’s a surreal place though, one of the last communist countries in the world, no Americanisms so no macdonalds, Nike trainers etc they hate the USA with a passion.loads of propaganda with posters of Castro everywhere. I’ve been a few times always 5 star all inclusive, great cuisine, seafood etc. The average wage is about 30 quid a week but the people are the friendliest you’ll ever meet and are happy with there lot, they live in abject poverty but have a really good healthcare system.
90% of Cubans don’t have a passport, which I couldn’t get my head found. My Mrs did get some attention everywhere we went, which got on my wick after a bit but you get used to it,she’s tall with blond hair, and particularly in the south, locals don’t often see western woman. I like to travel about countries rather than just staying hotel bound you get a better understanding of a country that way, they love the British and it’s history and all that.

Are you like me Andy if it’s right next door to your house, you get there later than if it’s fifty miles away?
Never been on time for anything in my life. The nearer work was the more times I arrived late.

I got roped into boss's office and warned if I was late again they would sack me. I just replied "It's up to you". and left them there with their mouths open. Height of recession. I left a week later anyway. It was a shite job.

Sorry to jump in but always wondered why diesel is 10 pence dearer than petrol in the UK but if you go abroad it 10 cheaper than petrol which equals 20 pence
It’s cheaper than petrol here in Ireland too 127 a litre for diesel and 135 for petrol

Cuba is definitely a place I want to visit soon enough and not just for the cigars :)

Will see what this year brings :)

Make sure you buy cigars from a licensed (government owned) shop, loads of fake poor quality cigars in Cuba.
