Would you rather do an easy job for a normal wage or a really s**t job the kind that keep you up at night for double the money ?
Just I’ve been putting silly prices in for jobs I don’t want and still get them.

I wouldn’t take on a job I didn’t fancy tbh. Not worth the stress.
I fitted a shower tray for a bloke just after Xmas he was a proper arse, the job was harder than I expected because he assured me there wasn’t a lip on the old tray which there was so had to take the bottom row of tiles off, he wouldn’t pay me any extra and watched over me the whole job.
Anyway got the job done and washed me hands of him, had an answer phone message yesterday saying he’s tried to change his float valve in the loft and now can’t get it to stop leaking, his stop tap seized up and doesn’t know what to do, gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside

Graft is graft geez! Sometimes you’ve just gotta take the rough with the smooth even though the rough normally outweighs the smooth. :)
Just price it all accordingly! (y)

Last year I gave up rendering.
This year I've decided to not take on any more commercial work.
I've never done work for the slap em up quick, national firms, the thought of it makes me wanna throw up.
I'm sticking to Mrs Jones and her biscuits.
It's taken a while, but I'm getting there.

Got to kind of enjoy the job otherwise I just get depressed don’t get me wrong a lot of my jobs are miserable but I try to do the ones I have a good gut feeling or connection with

Take the rough with the smooth with domestic that s**t job will lead to another job that won't be. you don't build a successful business on picking and choosing.

went to price a job for a farmer deliverance and duelling banjos tune came to mind straight away, but he was spot on turned up every monday with payment,....a really really good looking woman even now makes me ill just thinking about her ,....but dear me what an absoloute bitch no wonder hubby left her,....a customer who had met jesus looks just like he does in his pictures, and the bungalows where the angels live,...a teacher who asked me if there was anything he could help with,oh and he was naked from the waist down,...and i have not even mentioned all the ghosts/spirits/strange happenings etc etc etc,.....but anyhooooooooo after a while you do build up a sixth sense about customers ,but cant be right all the time, mostly i feel i have been okay but can still get caught with the local barmpots bad payers
