Big plastering outfits in manchester try it on with fortnightly pay . Oh and then it's a cheque on the 3rd week . Fuk that its every week in the bank or same applies get some other c**t

tbf 99/100 pay on the day. Get the odd weirdo who doesn’t . They get sent an accidental dick pick
Yes I never had any real problems when I used to do domestics tbh.occasional bellends finding it funny to make you wait . Having you look a c**t mithering them . They only got 1 chance at that merry dance then ignored if they wanted owt else doing

Jobs over 1500. To 3500.
I ask for 30% upfront...balance on completion. But in general transfer within a week is fine...

If Over 3500
3stage payments on bigger render jobs
30% deposit
30% after scratch
40% finish

It evens out your cash flow especially with outside work and bad weather to contend with ..
Never had any problems with asking for that..

I may not do this this for repeat customers though ...

I give them a week. From now on if I've got ask for it after a week ther name are going in the black book and the will not see me again. One of my new year resolution

The guy I do most for can be a bit of a dick about money sometimes.

At first I cursed him for being too powerful a customer. Then I realised...just stop the f**k**g job dead and he'll soon pay up when he realises that there'll be no stevo, no plumber, no spark, no labourer and no f**k all until the cash lands in my bank.

So the hours and matts go in on a Thursday and I don't start til half nine on a Monday. No dosh, no start at all.

The first week I did it he text me Tues to ask how I was getting on with some tiling.

Sent him this.

He's got better at paying since.

Only ever had 1 problem with payment a builder refused to pay me the f**k**g gimp after skimming a loft extension for him we agreed he will pay me the day I'm finished on the job he rings up saying he can't pay me for a couple of weeks I told him b*ll***s you agreed to today there's been no snags or problems on this job he got defensive and outright said f**k your money so I went back to my van got my trowel and brush out and went back and cross trowelled everything about a hundred times if you leaned up the walls you'd f**k**g slide down them,he called me up the following week ranting and raving saying the painters have walked off the job lol I said you should of paid me you c**t

If its mrs Jones living room..standard txt saying payment on completion..any bank transfer requires an additional 20% on top..bigger domestics we just wait till job is completed as wouldn't be arsed going back to finish the f**k*r

I learned early doors that tin pot local builder's look after number one and aren't worth the bother.

A builder we are in with we've literally got to ask 4 our money about 5 times after being invoiced..he pays eventually but he pays top dollar and we always add on to measure 4 being a late payer..atleast £200 every invoice added on and hidden somewhere so we think just crack on pal

Has anybody on here ever actually handed out the traditional plasterers revenge?

Stanley through the lot?

If I have to ask then I won't do any more work for them again simple.
