Window removed and upvc door to be fitted on outer leaf of stone wall. I have to cut the inner leaf from the window shelf down to the floor. Bear in mind where the window was the door frame will fit to the plaster just as with the window but below where the cut is I must replaster to match all the way down. Hope that's clear. How much more should I cut the inner wall so I have enough depth to plaster back to the door frame? The doorman says cut the outer wall 800mm but I'm thinking I need to cut the inner wall where it was below the window say 10mm more each side.
And what sort of plaster should I use?
