Plastering single skin wall

I have a porch made of single skin brick. It previously had a thick coating on, which I’ve removed where it’s flaking.

The window and door frames around the patch only extent a little bit, so I’d say any coating would have to remain under about 8mm to 10mm.

I’m wondering if I can coat it with a waterproof primer, then skim with multifinish, or is that a bad idea?

Since it’s a single skin wall presumably it’s important to be mindful of damp over time.

I thought MDF panel or tiled might be another option.

I'm not, but I did a short course and can get a decent finish. Don't really know how to handle situations other than straight forward skimming over plasterboard or regular walls though.

I thought about putting some battens on and then using moisture proof plasterboard, and adding a window board to the windows to mask the protrusion.

Other option I was thinking was to tile it, maybe a few issues with condensation. Also the walls are quite uneven, and if I used backer boards to level them out maybe I would end up with mould issues behind the boards?

Hmm yeah I was thinking about tiling it.

There's also some other areas in the porch not shown in this picture which are quite uneven.

Would it be best to level with some sort of board before tiling? And would I need to then deal with the issues of mould behind the levelling boards?

Fairly conscious about not losing too much space, would you recommend anything in particular, and is the insulation primarily to stop heat loss, or to stop condensation?

If it's to stop heat loss, the porch is around 40% double glazing and 60% single skin brick, with a decent door between it and the rest of the house, so not sure if huge gains can be made, but would be willing to try.

Would dot and dabbing insulated plasterboard be ok, or would I need to do something more thorough?

I would stick 35mm insulated plasterboard with foam instastik
