What to do about pipes

Hi Everyone,

I removed a Lath and plaster ceiling (plus other sins) and have put up 12.5mm sound boards.

Our boiler has various pipes going in to the ceiling and i cut notches to accommodate the pipes in the board. These pipes will be boxed in eventually but for purposes of plastering, do you just put some scrim tape up and fill in with bonding? Do i need to leave room for movement?

Expanding foam.

Do you run the Alcoholics Anonymous in Lewisham? Simon?

Expanding foam has the flexibility...pump it in, cut back then scrim over the foam bridging between foam and board.

Thanks for all you do Simon.
