After advice on why finished plaster often has white patches that feel dusty to the touch

First off I am in now way a plasterer and have only plaster 1 wall and a small bathroom before.
I have done a 4 day intensive course.
But after I did my small bathroom I noticed white patches now the plaster has had a few days to dry and they feel slightly dusty to the touch,
Is this poor technique or maybe I tried to trowel to soon before the plaster was dry enough.

Any thoughts or things I can do better for next time.

Again this is only my second time plastering so be kind.

Cheers.

Sounds like it may be drying out too quickly?

If so - better prep, control suction so it's evenly controlled over the whole surface.

And don't f**k about with it too much for too long.

Yeah, I'm very good at messing about with it for to long, like a teenager having some alone time
