Shame I'm too far away as I've got two 2" petrol water pumps you could have borrowed. We had tankers in the village last night pumping the water out of teh roads and I was out dragging broken down cars out of the flooded roads....
today is bright blue skies and I still cant get on with things because of the amount of water...
I have a sump pump arriving today
Thanks andyShame I'm too far away as I've got two 2" petrol water pumps you could have borrowed.
That's not a bad shout.Thanks andy
I think I am going to install like an inspection chamber and wire one up permanently on a float switch...
I am quite bored of the mass of new threads on the topic... so this will be the only one now... keep it all in here and all others will be locked and new ones deleted....Also crossed my mind to empty the very full stream into my neighbours garden....
Well said that man.I am quite bored of the mass of new threads on the topic... so this will be the only one now... keep it all in here and all others will be locked and new ones deleted....
I get there is not much plastering going on but every other new topic is the garden build.
also lets keep it clean and not bicker... getting fed up with that as well
Enjoy your time off all and try and remember we are in this together so should stay united as a community....

Don't fret mate, Danny will be finished long before you and you'll be able to reclaim the limelight. All imitators (and pale imitations btw) of the CHD. The one, the only, the original and best!
Wimp.I have broken up about 50 tonne of hardcore and dumped it in teh hole... I have now had 20 tonne of type 1 crushed concrete that I am now wheel barrowing through.... it has almost broken me...
hoping to have this part finished by the end of the weekend and will look at booking the concrete for next week...
I will upload photos soon enough
currently wrapped in a blanket on the sofa feeling rough :-(
The joys of burning the candle at each end and then starting in the middle as well...Wimp.
The piles were poured about a week ago with the rebar poking out the topPumped concrete or will you have to barrow it? if pumped then you can concrete the piles even if full of water - the trick is to keep the end of the pump nozzle in the concrete and below the water level as it is displaced by the concrete. Tried and tested on hundreds of oil wells and some concrete piles in MK holding up overpasses.
You know where the concrete water level is by the stick with a small T board on the end that you were going to use anyway to compact and take the air out of the concrete (weren't you?, hint)
Don't go overdoing it mate, always another day.The joys of burning the candle at each end and then starting in the middle as well...
The race to get the ground ready for pouring before christmas
Otherwise he'll be asking the doc for more wick.Don't go overdoing it mate, always another day.

I have 100000's of emails to catch up on and todo lists coming out of everywhere but atleast I am in...

Having a quiet space to work has been essential. Struggled to achieve much the last few years because of not being able to concentrate.Looks good mate. Nice to have your own space...although my daughter is always in my office stapling/gluing/cutting everything...sending my emails before they are ready to go...stealing all my pens and papers!
