It is a shame Rich. As someone new to machines, but always took an interest, it was good to read what the experts had to say. Glad that I’ve got @theclemo on hand to get me through (y)

    G4 into Transit van

Good on you rich. Change is as good as a rest and all that. As long as youre still making money on the render you could run the two side by side maybe. Hire a manager for the render while you project manage the build.

  22. Rossi46

    This a bad price ?

    Even still Andy that’s s**t money for killing yourself. £770 / 3 = £256 - tax = £205. Can earn that plodding on domestics
  23. Rossi46

    This a bad price ?

Isn’t @Lodan from Mansfield? No wonder you’re quiet. He’s got the lot.
  24. Rossi46

Was going to say that. £770/180m2 is £4.27 a metre. Naughty taking windows out
  26. Rossi46

    Weber Render multiple cracks

A masonry paint will seal it. Not sure you could paint over a sealer
  34. Rossi46

    Weber Render multiple cracks

It grows over time. Heat from inside can do it too. It’s very porous so just stop the water penetrating. Get it washed and you could apply the sealer yourself.
  35. Rossi46

    Weber Render multiple cracks

Yes, the water and warmth are what’s encouraging it.
  36. Rossi46

    Weber Render multiple cracks

Just get it cleaned and use a premium sealer to stop it soaking up water
  37. Rossi46

    Floods

If it doesn’t want to come off it can do more damage forcing it off. The finish might be fooked but not the backing by the sound of it.

    Dot and dab advice

If you dab onto thermalite or old dusty brick/block without giving it the necessary prior treatment then the bond between dab and wall won’t be as strong.
  43. Rossi46

    Dot and dab advice

Brush and wet before dabbage. Give the dabs a good bite. The bond to dryer surfaces isn’t as strong.

    Condensation

The suggestions are endless. Could be fixed with a £40 bucket of Stormdry though. A wet brick is a cold brick. It’s been fine for nearly 100 years.
