And the best bit is our supplier dont give a shite....big construction will get it all and theyll send 56 bags to odd merchant so they can say they did
I was one of the 7 and actually wanted to engage and have some sort of conversation, think like oli said, they went off the idea cos they got a load of gifs, s**t etc so gave us a generic response and answered the uni question and mine tour question that were obviously in jest just to let us...
Yes I read it, I assumed the q and a was meant to have some form of engagement or atleast even slightly direct answers to specific question...obviously over estimate BG yet again
@BritishGypsum did you have an answer to either of my questions regarding restricting supply temporarily to trade and a way to regulate merchants to prevent profiteering
I haven't worked the whole time this has been going on but from what I read government said you could still earn...will just have to confirm its affected you in some way financially
Is anything available to register for the self employed payment...when they first announced it said hmrc would contact us but dont know if anythings changed
Would be nice if it was good gear, would love gypsum to have some healthy competition. Wouldnt even mind if it was a pound or 2 more if it was consistant
Caulks s**t will just crack again a month later. Had success with one bead but can still crack, defo not two though...unexpandable metal on metal on a backdrop of all that expanding and contracting wood
Yep or for a little while pre register what you need and as soon as they've got it they give you a call, if you dont need it anymore fills the backlog for other people who put a pre order in
Once the supply chains a bit more free move it back to the shelves. I dont know just musing...I get my gear at tradepoint but just know if it's on the shelves everyone who is bored will buy a bag when us lads need it go back to normal
Also another question @BritishGypsum ...is there anything you can do to regulate prices at the merchants, the government have made it clear they're against any profiteering from the situation. Is there a way to stop merchants putting large mark ups on your products due the decreased supply
And then from an economic point of view I think general trade should be supplied before DIY bob, but would appreciate a balance between major construction and general trade
Didnt say they deserved it but I'd imagine pressure will be applied by the government to supply major construction to help the economy stay on its feet
You could make £50 a house pay? Fair play to you if you could cos I couldn't, even with a spat youd spend an hour wiping down over spray but still 6 houses a day
