Live Q&A with British Gypsum, Friday 1 May

I was one of the 7 and actually wanted to engage and have some sort of conversation, think like oli said, they went off the idea cos they got a load of gifs, s**t etc so gave us a generic response and answered the uni question and mine tour question that were obviously in jest just to let us...

Everyone under estimates compound interest, and compound gains (maybe not the right term) from dividend reinvestment if you hold shares long term

British Gypsum response to questions posted on the Forum

@BritishGypsum did you have an answer to either of my questions regarding restricting supply temporarily to trade and a way to regulate merchants to prevent profiteering

Live Q&A with British Gypsum, Friday 1 May

Looks like weve been snubbed again...any one would think we were somehow unimportant to their business
  22. Bartholomew

    Government financial assistance.

Hard one that, just because they say you can go back doesn't necessarily mean lads will have anything to go back to
  23. Bartholomew

    Government financial assistance.

I haven't worked the whole time this has been going on but from what I read government said you could still earn...will just have to confirm its affected you in some way financially
  24. Bartholomew

    UFC IS BACK!!

To maintain social distancing they're both being given a towel and are going to whip each other from 2 metres apart
  27. Bartholomew

    Is this the answer?

Would be nice if it was good gear, would love gypsum to have some healthy competition. Wouldnt even mind if it was a pound or 2 more if it was consistant

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

Your like @gps With a massively lower IQ
  29. Bartholomew

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

Agree, will make it sharp but unless your following a master chippy will still undulate with the way the rafters are set
  30. Bartholomew

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

Caulks s**t will just crack again a month later. Had success with one bead but can still crack, defo not two though...unexpandable metal on metal on a backdrop of all that expanding and contracting wood
  31. Bartholomew

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

You would need to pull a string and bed a stop bead to that...hard and long work
  32. Bartholomew

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

Most roof joists arent perfectly straight over their length...a stop bead wont change that, will make it sharp but not straight
  33. Bartholomew

Straight or Curved plastering on adjoints?

Exactly what zombie said...work looks good, long splayed lines are a nightmare

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

  36. Bartholomew

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

Once the supply chains a bit more free move it back to the shelves. I dont know just musing...I get my gear at tradepoint but just know if it's on the shelves everyone who is bored will buy a bag when us lads need it go back to normal
  37. Bartholomew

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

They should but think to people signed up to trade only for the short term
  38. Bartholomew

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

Also another question @BritishGypsum ...is there anything you can do to regulate prices at the merchants, the government have made it clear they're against any profiteering from the situation. Is there a way to stop merchants putting large mark ups on your products due the decreased supply
  39. Bartholomew

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

And then from an economic point of view I think general trade should be supplied before DIY bob, but would appreciate a balance between major construction and general trade
  40. Bartholomew

***Q&A this Friday with British Gypsum***

Didnt say they deserved it but I'd imagine pressure will be applied by the government to supply major construction to help the economy stay on its feet

    Sourcing Multi

That's only thing I can think but at 50 a house no ones earning 300 a day off that
  45. Bartholomew

    Sourcing Multi

And an hour moving between plots, half hour dinner...youd need to spray a house in less than an hour
  46. Bartholomew

    Sourcing Multi

You could make £50 a house pay? Fair play to you if you could cos I couldn't, even with a spat youd spend an hour wiping down over spray but still 6 houses a day
