If they havent touched anything inside the box with the electrics then it should be ok. the speed control is a dial on the outside of the box.
set machine up, put sped to 10 ,make sure you have water pressure above 4 bar, take mixing paddle out/disconnect water pipe to mixing zone and try...
You may be able to do this over a lengthy phone call or video call . Firstly you will need the parameter settings for that frequency converter (box that they messed with) I doubt anyone one have them to hand so would need to come from PFT Direct.
Then we would have to establish how to get into...
crikey. is that first box the transformer . i was expecting a blue plastic transformer. it could need a bit of surgery that. show me a pic of the whole back of the machine.
is there a speed control on this machine?
hack it all off. prime it.bead it. then spray a pass of monocouche over the lot to base coat it and then spray a roughcast straight over that with monocouche. you can base and roghcast same day.
if you can persuade them not to have dash
does it need hacking off ? i just finished 1 job where i redid the reveals in thin coat render and dashed straight over existing
This had bell casts in so i sprayed one section, trowelled flat and dashed. then repeat . make sure u cover your machine whilst dashing in case the chips go in the...
From what i gather they have put the step up transformer onto a 240 v machine and assumed it will run with no problems. Like i said i havent seen the machine but im assuming this is a 3.5 kva step up transformer and that won't work. If they had a 5 kva transformer in there it would be massive...
Ive never seen one in the flesh, but i'd work it out quickly. it woulde have to be your own equipment.
The step up transformer will be connected to the actual 230v plug. it may require a socket or something attached. I could work it out if i saw a photo of the equipment. The main problem...
In short i would bin that transformer and run 240v. The step up transformer is not up to the job and 110v brings a whole new set of issues you could choose to avoid.
We could arrange a training day if you're up for a run to Swansea or you're closest dealer will do the same in Rotheringham...
Hey Wez,
Does the machine have actual 110v plug sockets or is there a blue type transformer inside. I know some of these so called "110v" machines are 240v which work in 110v via a step up transformer. If this is the case bin the step up transformer and confirm the machine works in 230v...
yes id use a d3-4 or 5-3 for slow output and a green lightweight float will show more of a water reading . use the same thickness material for both applications
Spray, rule flat, go over with a spatula to get it as flat as you can and get rid of any heavy lines etc, leave it a hour or so then slower speed and texture away
Spraying skim is not the best example of machine plastering. If you browse you will find many have tried to spray skim before deciding its not for them, but you will also find a much greater number of people who have bought Ritmos and never looked back.
The Ritmo is a 230v mixing pump you just...
If water goes through fast enough it shows that wetter gear will pump faster. U need to find a happy medium. The mess never gets any better. Plaster is very fine and it creates a mist that can only go south. Maybe less air will help with that.
Hope it works out for you, be great for a forum...
I gotta job coming up RESkim a house. Generally the walls are quite good but It has had new chases cut in down the walls and new ceilings overboarded with the old coving took down. bathroom tiles Tiles been removed making rough looking walls.
I been thinking Spray Universal one coat bout...
I got a Towavan trailer with lockable roller shutter door. when i was a one van man i used to leave that on job all locked up with a trailer and wheel lock. handy at the time. i use it to store stuff now up the yard but will flog it soon
Got a sprinter with tail lift, use this to get everything big to the job then use my other van to get back and for and take the sprinter on last day to get my gear and chuck the waste on.
i used to have a hiab lift aswell to lift ton bags of crap on and the big machine. The tail lift is easier...
Just work a saturday morning and its all paid for. Used it this week, adhesive coat mixing on the street doing a mesh coat on front of terrace on my own. Mixed it then a quick dip en bach in the old cleaner bucket on top speed, she was spotless, not even a drip on the tarmac.
reeves these bucket cleaners are a different ball game. For a start the the bucket is a collomix heavy duty one, just these are over 30 plus vat and delivery. For such a simple idea you wouldnt believe how handy they are. You can stick them next to you and once you have mixed give it a blast...
if its skim or material up to 5-6mm we have the PFT swing and gentillin air compressor which is similar to the Refina pump, you would need 13mm material hose for skim or 25 mm material hose for renders, air hose and a spraying gun with remote switch. Make sure all this is included in your...
sorry smurth. this machine will only pump 4 lts. thats very slow for monocouche and borderline for adhesive coats. Ritmo is ur best bet and forget about spraying skim. nobody who has tried it has stuck with it
yes i agree. the materials that stiffen quickly will be harder to push through on start up and pump a bit slower . therefore the new gear is getting a bit more water because its being mixed a little longer. hence the splurge. high polymer adhesive coats highlight this and are best sprayed...
you will always get a wet surge of material from start up. when you turn the machine off you get water whats left in the pipe continue to flow in. then when you start back up the solenoid immediately adds more water. so that means the mixed material gets a little bit more water than the rest...
