In the past year I’ve had 3 so called 2nd years straight from college 19 years old starting them on350 and still can’t be arsed with it.too early starts.too far from home wasn’t this hard in college etc what can you do.

I’ve had 3. 2nd year lads apparently qualified from Redditch college and paid them £400 pw. 20 yr olds,do a month and then say it’s not this hard in college.then not to be seen again.!

Don’t let one bad experience put you off.stick with it and something will come along.maybe try a agency for some experience that’s pretty local for you.

Our local plastering merchants outside Redditch walls & ceilings has had a trade afternoon,it feels like Xmas day.the rep from OX will be rubbing his hands with what we come away with.!! Got him to look how ridgid his angle trowel is compared to the new ragni internal trowel.a beauty.

Blimey those days are well gone.not floated for 4 years but you’re right.couple of houses f,s and it was on its way to be broken in.

Did you use wet&dry to take the edge off it.??

But do you know where I’m coming from with so many flexys and spats etc.?

Or is it each individual.s preference,cs or ss.!

I’m 50 and always used ss,and watching & listening to different people about flexy.s spats etc,confusing but if it makes things easier do you go with the times etc but I’ve seen some spat finishes and wrong timing flexy finishes and it’s awful.HELP.!!!

Just need a bit of advice as this ever evolving trowel market goes bonkers.! Gang next door this wk have been harping on about a new nela carbon 16”and how wonderful they are.i.m 16” mt ss 2 coat then flatten with 14” ss .do you go with tried & tested or go with the times and technology etc.???

On a different note why would I swap my 16” my mt ss for a nela carbon. Heard a gang raving.??
