To be fair the gutter was misaligned... so during this winter I had water streaming down this section where the cracks formed. So my lime aint dodgy then? I wouldnt have thought 3 months of rain would...
I mean where your newly fully redone render will be taken up to the neighbouring property's. If the renders are vastly different, ie. lime and concrete would this become more important, cheers.

How long have they been used for rendering also, I dont want to use anything that hasnt been tested by time! Is good old sand and cement still superior, or are their supporters afraid of change???

So in half the relevant walls in my house the plaster has blown, but in a couple there is barely just a tiny bit of discolouration.
I got told by a damp surveyor that even in those I use should fully replaster and seperate the damp and new plaster with a membrane.

The first two are from the ground floor and the last 4 are from the first floor directly above it. I had to fix the roof recently (3 floor house) but not sure if it's all from there.
