Why not just tell him you can cover it with bonding agent then re skim but say his gotta pay again though, if it's not your fault. Yes you can paint with matt if silk been sanded but if you got bits of filler every where its gonna show again.If I understood what you was saying properly I think...

Im just reskiming old house's I tried more pva and it is helping loads thanks all for your help everyone some times onto bonding but I was bonding then skimming the next day I starting to do it on the same day now this has helped me loads also thank you again
