    Eco rend scraped

I’ve used quite a lot of this over the last couple of years and have been really impressed with it overall but just started a job and noticed when scraping the aggregate seems bigger and doesn’t look so good as it a lot harsher finish? anyone else having same experience with it ? or is it just...

    Ritmo slimline

We turn the speed down to 5 water on 100 -110 8 mm cap, hp 12 comes out like roughcast which gives you time if your spraying and meshing and you don’t waste material. That’s with Ritmo L though.

    Concrete panels

Thanks Owls, I haven’t got any pics to hand sorry. The largest wall is 15 x 1.7 and the rest are small areas. I meant top coat with ocr sorry didn’t explain very well!! Do you think pre grit and rend aid would do the job?

    Concrete panels

Morning, I’ve got about 100 m2 of Plain face render to do onto pre cast concrete panels around garden walls. I’m gonna use an ocr for top coat but wondered If there was a spec for this? was gonna use render grip to start but do I need base coat and mesh also? thanks

    Ritmo electrocuting me

We have been getting shocks from our machine recently. Funny thing is this week we have been spraying from generator and no shocks at all? Must be down to earth when plugging in to mains?

    Ritmo Roughcasting

Hi I was spraying pral m chalk as roughcast on Friday and noticed back pressure was jumping up and down . I put brand new rotor and stator (normal b42 l ) on from the start and was spraying speed 5 water on 90 which seemed fine but as the day went on seemed to be spluttering quite a bit. I...

    Hardwall through a Ritmo problems?

I did that too lol. last Year plugged the machine in and red button stayed on and then kept clicking off, I tried this a few times but couldn’t work it out? I thought it was tripping out but realised the labourer had been tugging at cables When unplugging And made live wire loose. next bit makes...

    fassa through ritmo l

I didn’t say it was a material fault. sometimes you need to spray stiff, Especially this time of year when your under pressure. not saying it’s right but needs must to get job done.
  14. C

    fassa through ritmo l

It’s very slow setter and easy to work with. Rigsby is right on the water setting as it looks wet and sounds different out the gun but don’t worry it builds out really well. The only thing I found is that if you spray to stiff you get lots of bullet holes when scraping back next day, other than...

    Ocr

Hi Vincey Yeah went fine thanks, I sprayed 70 m2 on today and finished about 4.30. Picked up ok and seems like there is a lot more lime in Weber ocr than there used to be? Finished really good. I put about 30 m2 on yesterday and no splits in it this morning so all good. Thanks mate

    Ocr

does it shrink back on base coat as well? I have been using mapei through the summer but thought Weber would be ok this time of year.
  18. C

    Ocr

Hi I’ve got some Weber ocr plain face to do Monday and Tuesday onto base coat which is gonna be slow, I’m worried about getting a finish on it before we lose daylight. Has anyone tried accelerator in ocr ? Or have any ideas? Thanks

    Breaking in a scratcher

Do you mean scratch pad for mono? If so and it’s a new one scratch away on a concrete block in a circular motion for a couple of hours. That’ll break it in

    Rotor and stator wear

I’ve been spraying 20 m hose and getting 18 bar and about 280 -300 bags per rotor and stator. It’s not just me then? I did notice a difference on the normal maintenance free ones as they were good for around 400 bags but were harder on the start up with some materials. Rigsby is the clampable...

    Rotor and stator wear

Hi all I’ve been using soft rotor and stators on my Ritmo L since they came out but I’m finding they don’t last like they used to or is it me? Machine is well maintained been spraying monorex and Weber pral m But seems to only get about 300 bags out of them? We are not spraying stiff , got new...

  23. C

    Parex

Thanks, Why would you avoid scratch render.?
  24. C

    Parex

Hi Vincey I’ve just been asked to render three houses in scratch render over Durasol block system. Is this the same as what you are going over? If so I spoke to Weber and they won’t spec it as they say it’s untested as the blocks are made of concrete and woodchip and suggest it might fail so...

    Render on eps

Hi I know I posted this on here a couple of months ago but this job is dragging on and wondered if anyone would have any idea what this product is? It’s a scratch finish onto base coat on eps boards. The colour looks like silver pearl to me? But the material has a very large aggregate and looks...

    Lw1?

I’ve just sprayed 30 bags of lw1 onto insulation boards and you have to spat straight away as said otherwise it tears. Been using Weber therm m1 which is a much better product in my opinion. I used to spray k rend k1 all the time but not anymore it’s very problematic and just seems to slide down...

    Render on eps

I have been asked to render the front of blocked up garage opening to match existing but don’t know what this render is.? It looks like Weber therm but it’s a very coarse finish with I bar used as finish changes direction in places but as said the grain looks very big. Properties were built...

    Sprayed waterproof render

We have a job on old brickwork which is going to be tanked and then needs a coat of render before skimming. Does anyone know of a bagged product which would do this? or could I just add waterproofed to the water butt and spray GP mortar? Thanks

    Ritmo help pleas

When we connect the water pump we let it fill and then turn the Tap on the front of the machine. You will hear it spit and spatter where there is air in the water system. Turn the tap on and off until water runs freely and it works fine. We have found If you don’t do this you get fluctuations in...

    K rend lw1

No didn’t do a pull test just what suppliers and k rend specified. It’s only hairline cracks diagonally above and below windows and where the reveal meets the head. Just a thought but do you think it’s down to the hot weather and shrinkage? I have put stop beads on inside of windows, underneath...

    K rend lw1

Yeah it’s all been pinned with mushroom fixings and even dabbed onto celcon blocks so should be solid. What do you mean meshed it right?

    K rend lw1

Hi We have used a fair bit of these scratch renders onto eps this year. we did 100m2 using lw1 white back in March and customer called us back this week saying cracks have appeared. The cracks are off every joint from head bead and below every window . We did the job to the spec meshed right...

    Weber m1

Morning, We are currently doing a job 200m2 on eps using Weber m1 but we also have a wall on cement board 6m x 2m high to do. I know Your not supposed to use mono on board and thin coat would be the spec but that does look a different finish. I was wondering as the m1 can go on at 10mm would I...

    Fassacouche mono

We did a job a couple of weeks ago with fassa and it’s lovely to spray and nice to rub up. Used it a few times last year when temps were around 15 Very slow setting so gives you time if you spray afternoon and scrape next morning. Great finish.

Hi, we have a site of two timber framed houses which have a specification of 150mm eps and thin coat finish . Problems with k rend

We used to get this with ft and found our problem was putting too much water or not mixing the material properly. In the end we bought a pan mixer which could mix 5 bags a time and let it mix for ten minutes with 5 litres of water per bag . The key is to get water content exactly right and...

Hi, I had a look at a job this morning where the client has asked for a internal render finish to barn refurb. The room is going to be used as a production area hence why they want render not plaster due to damp environment. I will post pictures but as you can see they have many varying...
